mother****er couldn't even do this for me. piss off ****oh my god Paine is gonna bop one over long on off the last ball
Maybe not.oh my god Paine is gonna bop one over long on off the last ball
Yeah, it’s pretty dumb. If it was 4 off 1 required it’s pretty obvious who you’d rather on strike but when it’s 22 off 6 it’s different apparently. Unless of course you’re Jimmy Peirson/Brisbane Heat and then you just leave it to DoggettI talked about this in the BBL thread after some game but man oh man, batsman have to be more selfish with the strike in games like this
Hasn’t Bairstow really taken Stokes’s place?Buttler will get it, but Woakes is MotM.
Just quietly, this bowling attack looks stronger without Stokes in it.
He has yeah, but Root's taken his role as the 6th bowler and he hasn't weakened the attack at all tbh. Stokes' bowling in this format is often a burden as much as anything.Hasn’t Bairstow really taken Stokes’s place?
We used to be picking 6 bowlers and now it’s only 5, hence Root having to bowl so much today
He said after the Ashes that he didn't actually feel like he was in particularly good form, he was just in a good mental space, but he was some way off wrt his timing and ball striking. Definitely looked that way today. Also, TPC looked scratchy throughout his innings today. Never really got his timing going,
i just don't get it because he seemed to hit the ball just fine when opening for hobart last season. is it simply a hard new ball thing?Haven’t seen an Oz batsman with as limited hitting power since Dirk Wellham; just underlines it was mental laziness by the selectors to put Paine in the ODI side.
