Coney thinks the deck will only get worse too. The divits and bumps will harden but not flatten and then gg inconsistent bounce time.

Kill me.

literally bowl a fast effort ball at his toes and haze will just back away and miss it. omf this is woeful kiwu
Think they'd struggle with the 'fast' bit. Shame for NZ fans that a combination of fitness issues and selector conservatism means we won't see Ferguson in tests again.

Depends on how soft the pitch is currently. If it still is the roller should flatten them out. Don't discount the pitch behaving normally.

At the start of the day I was hoping that we could keep Australia under 300, now I'm hoping that we can keep them under 400.

No doubt the pitch will look a lot tougher to bat on when the Aussies bowl even though it looks like a road now.

Check the scores to see Green is teeing off, and I am currently scrambling to download the Kayo app on my phone.

Latham and Young will be standing there obsessing over batting, stewing in their own mental juices, and will be totally done in in the head by the time they come to bat. This is according to 'Richo'. This is not encouraging.
Are batsmen not able to use the same mental skills that they use between balls of an over, where they (apparently) 'switch off' and think about other things, then resume concentration when it's time to face up again?
Or could they think, "this pitch is pretty flat and these guys are scoring runs. So I at least have a decent chance here as long as I execute my skills well".
