Australia will have a possible 18 overs with the second new ball, that's got to be worth a go.Do you think Ponting would take the finish a half an hour eary option if Sarwan proposes it?
37 overs is a while, this Australian attack is really being shown up a bit. It's suddenly looking very reliant on Lee.
Agreed. 18 overs is a huge amount of time with the new ball.Australia will have a possible 18 overs with the second new ball, that's got to be worth a go.
That's ridiculous. Keeping standing up you are far, far more likely to take one in the face than batting. Why is it possibly "good" to see him keep without a lid?Hussey's bowling tidily, if not threatening, and good to see Haddin standing up to him without the helmet. It may have only been for a few deliveries, but Ramdin was wearing one standing back yesterday which looked ridiculous.
Haha true, but is there any difference than people rating Viv that little bit higher because he didn't bat with a helmet? That's ridiculous. Keeping standing up you are far, far more likely to take one in the face than batting. Why is it possibly "good" to see him keep without a lid?
He shouldn't be rated higher because of it, IMO.Haha true, but is there any difference than people rating Viv that little bit higher because he didn't bat with a helmet?
The stumping was out, never really any two ways about it... but hey, swings and roundabouts. The WI were on the end of enough in the first dig!Didn't see the stumping chance. Was there sufficient doubt? Was it a good decision?
Bleh, hate that idea. And yea, stumping was out. Both teams got some really bad decisions this test, though WI got the much worse deal considering the match situation at the time. Too bad really. The stumping was out, never really any two ways about it... but hey, swings and roundabouts. The WI were on the end of enough in the first dig!
IMO, there wasn't sufficient doubt. The foot was on the line and you could clearly see the line from the stump camera. Pommie seemed to think so as well. It was an understandable decision but not a particularly good one.Didn't see the stumping chance. Was there sufficient doubt? Was it a good decision?
Well it's an aesthetic thing, obviously, keepers managed without them for decades on far worse tracks than the one they're playing on today - and for 20 years after batsmen started using them. If the ball is spitting and jumping around fair enough, if it gives them more confidence, but that hasn't really been the case here. That's ridiculous. Seriously? Why?^
