**Official** Australia in West Indies

I actually disagree. All Johnson's good spells in Test level to date have been with the older ball. He controls it better and occasionally gets a bit of reverse. Assuming they take it soon, I reckon he'll be given it anyway, purely due to the fact that Lee and Clark have both had long bowls already this morning.
Yeah that's a good point actually. In this series anyway he's been best used when looking for a bit of reverse. Remember him taking the shine off the new ball in Australia by bowling wide balls on the return crease outside off and not enticing a shot. Having said that I also have memories of some things he's done for Queensland with conventional swing.

Nah dude, just a matter of getting one breakthrough and I can see the rest following. Still heavily backing Aussies right now. If these two can get another 100 then maybe it's time to panic.
i think when it gets to 100 to lead.. the runs will just fly ..will go so quickly

Lee should go over the wicket.. (happy to be proven wrong)
atlesat theres a better angle imo

Well there's not a lot to come. Chattergoon will probably bat but he's still hobbling around so I don't think he'll offer that much, and the West Indian lower order and tail has been dispicably bad this series.

The last five wickets have produced:

52 and 111 in Jamaica
38 at Antiguia
38 at Barbados

Lee has ripped through them twice and Johnson once. They managed something in the second innings of the first Test, but Darren Sammy was a significant factor in that and he isn't playing.

This partnership is looking dangerous, but there won't be too much resistance once it's broken.

There's some batting ability there. Just depends on whether it'll show up.

yea thats true, i just feel these two are batting so well.. and the pitch is incredibly flat, great day 5 pitch for batsmen
so when this pship is broken, there will prolly be enough for the tail to hang around, Ramdin is due

one things for sure, if Australia win, it will be tight i feel.. wont be a 100+ run win will be around 0-100

And indeed against India at home. I remember a top spell he bowled with the old ball distinctly after he'd already done exactly what you described early on.

Having said that I also have memories of some things he's done for Queensland with conventional swing.
Indeed. He came into Test cricket with a reputation as one who could swing the new ball at pace. It hasn't happened for him at all, but he's bowled pretty well with the old ball. I think he needs to either go back to First Class cricket and work on getting that swing back or focus on using his pace and bounce. Watching him try to get swing and fail as the ball borders on being a wide is painful.

I was just gonna say that Casson has bowled good in this over and whether he can keep it in the right areas as he'll prolly bowl a ball that releases pressure

wd young man

advantage Australia now i can admit, just couldnt see this pship being broken but it has now... would've preferred Shiv! this guys SUCH A beast....

Indeed. Ramdin can obviously bat and I've seen some good things with the bat from Taylor too. Obviously you wouldn't be putting a lot of faith in it given what has happened so far in this series though.

omfg, knew Casson needed close in fielders

orgasmic - Clark is back, so he should bowl new ball that they will not take now
