Can't wait for this series, Australia are favourites but WI are clearly better than they were a year or so ago and could cause a shock, WI have the advantage of a better spin attack and the pitches have turned a fair bit of late.

No doubt we will slag Sammy off and he will average under 30 with the ball again.

Don't agree with that analysis of Lyon in the slightest tbh. If anything I think it's more likely for him to bowl some pearlers but get hid around a bit than it is for him to bowl defensive, tight unthreatening **** all day. Hauritz was more like Giles.

EDIT: Actually Doherty was probably the most Giles-like bowler Australia have picked. But without the batting/gully fielding.

Yeah Lyon is def not a keep it tight bowler. May as well call Krejza a keep it tight bowler if that's the only qualification is an off spinner.

And lol at Giles. Could teach a chimp to bowl left arm over and spear it into leg to the right hander all day. Biggest coward.

Have you ever watched these bowlers,

Bishoo has a economy of 3.10 and Lyon 3.08

Bishoo takes a wicket every 69 balls and Lyon every 55 balls.

Bishoo gets a wicket every 36 runs and Lyon every 28 runs and giles every 40 runs.

I still dont find any substance in giving the WI's the advantage in the spin bowling.

If there is a difference, it will be that the Windies batsmen will be able to play Lyon more comfortably because they're more accustom to the slow pitches. But then again, Australia have Clarke who is way ahead of anyone in both sides at playing spin.

Yeah agreed with all of this, but again, it isn't hard to see why someone would have Bishoo slightly ahead.
