Did see the second half of the Windies innings today, I ought to say that Pollard genuinely impressed me. Could tell by his range of shots toady and the time at which he went for it showed a speck of maturity coming through. Good for him.

Well we were crap today but that's no surprise considering we were missing a few key players like Russell, Rampaul, Ramdin, Simmons etc, the bowling was terrible after a great first over, Santokie was just too one dimensional and was figured out in the end, should have got way more than 150 but for once our lower order didn't fire as usual, i guess that's where we missed Russell the most.

It just seems to me to be a silly selection. If he could bat, sure. but he doesn't have that got that going for him either.
i also have doubts about his death bowling - i mean sure if it's the 17th over and the team is 5/110 chasing 160 he's good enough - but i cbf doing research.

He did a decent job of bowling yorkers in the BBL at times. It's a case of whether the radar is on, he can nail the crease line quite a bit when he's going, but you miss an early one and it can be hard to get back on track.
