Wearing a helmet and pads etc only adds to the discomfort. Remember seeing Hussey nearly dehydrated in the last game. Fair enough if you think otherwise, it's not like I have personal experience (at that level of cricket) that I can use to support my theory.

It really ends up being much of a muchness. One thing is that when fielding, you have 11 blokes out there being sapped of energy for the whole 50 overs, whilst if batting during the heat, 9 of your guys are in the shade getting hydrated and conserving energy, but the two out there are working hard and feeling the heat big time.
