Jeez!

How can it be possible when the bowler from the other end is moving it so appreciably and this hack hasn't got one delivery to move in the air or off the seam?

Watching Johnson being innocuous in such friendly conditions is like Chinese torture. Perverse waste of perfect conditions to bowl reverse swing and cutters.
It's alright mate, he learned how to hold the ball properly before this series apparently. By the time he's 90 he might actually know how to bowl

Johnson with an economy rate of 0.88 after 9 overs (1-8)....gotta love his wtf will he bowl like today factor :)

Edit: lol, then he gets hit for 3 fours in the next over
He was economical before this over. But looked really toothless and bowled a lot of wide nonesense (both sides) that they let go. All the other three seamers (yes, including Watson) looked more likely to take a wicket than the supposed attack leader.

Hard to tell from watching cricinfo...thanks for the real story as 1-8 off 9 overs seemed impressive :)

This sort of thing will happen to Lyon as an offspinner, he's gonna need to learn to cope with it. Three brilliant shots all different from Mahela. Gorgeous.

Is 75mph the new 85mph?

Copeland, Kumar, Sammy, Watson.

All been pretty successful of late bowling medium dobbers.

Spoke to an Australia fan for the site the other day, he is VERY excited about this team - expects them to be strong come the 2013 Ashes...any other Aussies feel the same?
Don't see any reason to get excited about the team. It's hardly beyond the realms of possibility for all four main bowlers to be out of the attack by summers end (Harris through injury that said). It's just we've actually picked something near our best bowling attack, instead of sticking with Siddle-Hilf-MJ-(x) which has made us excited

The skipper could have a go himself in a bit. There's a patch of rough that Herath was using well.

While Mahela is looking sublime, the woodcutter at the other end is going at it with hard hands. Against the ball turning away from him, he could be in a bit of a bother.

Long way to go mate. The attack has been disciplined but largish question marks still over the batting.

Excited about a team that has 9 players who got massacred by England last Winter?

I doubt Lyon and Copeland are THAT good!

Not to mention the fact that England will be much stronger by then with the likes of Broad, Bell, Cook, Finn etc. getting better and Taylor, Stokes and co. replacing Collie/Morgs.
