Here's the last 10 Aussie debutants and the number of Tests played before being dropped

462. Neser - 1
463. Boland - 3
464. Swepson - 4
465. Murphy - 4
466. Kuhnemann - 3
467. McSweeney - 3
468. Konstas - 2
469. Webster - 3*
470. Inglis - 2*
471. Connolly - 1*

*I'm thinking the last three will also likely be dropped after this test with Smith, Green and Head locks in the middle order for WTC final

Seems you need 5+ tests in a row to make it 😉
Green needs to earn his spot back for mine

Signs Oz mentally a bit off their game so far this session; Smith cracked it early on in that Webster over as the fielder who went after it (I think it was Head), seemed to dawdle and SL got a 3 instead of a 2.

Silver Silva

International Regular
Great first session, much better strategy to spin playing the orthodox cricket strokes rather than elaborate sweeps .We need a big score from Dimuth his lack of runs has hurt the team

Camp is divided. Cracks are showing

That is a very good toss to win. Last wicket did offer fair bit of turn on the first morning albeit slow. Can't recall a ball turning here after the initial shine was off. Sri Lanka should definitely eye 400 plus from here

International Regular
Aussie squad for the 2 ODIs in Sri Lanka is now down to 11 players (Marsh out injured, Stoinis just retired, Cummins & Hazlewood not yet declared fit)

They have 5 fresh players (Ellis, Hardie, Short, Zampa, Maxwell) while other 6 are playing this Test (Carey, Head, Inglis, Labuschagne, Smith, Starc)

Maybe Test reserves Abbott, Boland, McSweeney and Murphy might get an ODI game to rest some test players as only 1 day rest between games

fmd that super slowmo side by side on Lyon and Kuhnemann's actions is diabolical for the latter. Should be playing for the home side.
