I don't understand how we are not even competing against a second string Australian side. These are the same players that beat India and NZ who fielded much stronger teams.

Our preparation for this series has been beyond woeful. Even the scheduling was stupid and they added the second ODI almost as an afterthought. We've lost the plot completely after the failure in SA.

The replacements for the australians are elite quality except for Abbott. Hardie, Ellis are world class and Johnson is solid.
