**** Copes getting smashed. Going by the economies, you'd swear they have got the name tags wrong on cricinfo haha.
Haha yeah right. Medium Pacers vs. quality batsman in South Africa are often going to be hit around unless they are bowling tight to a ring field.

Put the mockers on Stiaan for sure.

Watson is like a Kallis or a Brian McMillan, under estimate their bowling at you peril.True all-rounders. Hopefully Watson can remain as injury free as possible for the remainder of his career.

Big partnership this coming up.

17.1 Johnson to Duminy, 4 byes, attmepted bouncer, this time way down leg, not only missing the batsmen, but also too wide and high for Haddin to grab.

keep your eyes on the ball is surely better bowling advice than whatever cooley was handing down

I doubt anything has changed. He bowled very well in SA last time. His natural style of bowling lots of short, aggressive stuff and bouncing it in hard just goes down well in these conditions.

Bit disappointing from Copeland. Hard to tell what's gone wrong so far just from the commentary, but I am reluctant to believe it's simple because of his pace. Stuart Clark dominated when he bowled in SA and he is hardly that much faster, so I don't see a reason why Copeland couldn't do the same.

Yep happy for a full and fast Siddle to play.

(still think the ixnay on the iddlesay and ohnsonjay in the same team rule applies though)

Siddle bowled a much better line in Sri Lanka tbf
Did he? I didn't see any of that last match. The thing is though, every now and again he does decide to bowl in better areas...and he usually is very successful when he does. He has to keep doing it match after match before I'm convinced he has changed his style.

What I fear will happen is that there is a good chance he will have success in the tests (assuming he is picked, which seems likely now) even if he bowls with his natural style. And if that's the case, I can just see it reinforcing his tendency to keep bowling that way in subsequent matches after this series...so basically I can the see the same old **** happening all over again. I don't really have any grounds on which to back this up, but I just can't see Siddle pulling a Broad-like transformation to his bowling in the long term...don't think he has the brains and patience to do it. Hope he proves me wrong, cause he could be a pretty awesome bowler if he does.
