So all in all I'd have taken 310 to win at the start of the day. Annoying that we gave away so many to the tail.

The only way we can win this if we manage not to lose many wicket before tommorow and hope that the sun is out. Most likely we will be all out today though.

Both sides would be reasonably happy with 310 I guess. Should make the game interesting, if South Africa bowl well they have it, but if Watson and Hughes can create another decent opening stand, and the middle order fires, game on.

Even worse when you consider that Ponting, Clarke and Hussey bowled 8 overs between themselves.

Fair play to Cummins there. I wasn't hugely in favour of his selection but he's done more than enough to justify it - if only the same could be said for the other two.

Ball's been swinging all day, and there has been some extra bounce on offer as well.

On the other hand, the outfield looks lightning fast.

Hope weather doesn't play spoilsport to what could be scintillating viewing.

Can we now put to bed the myth that ****zell ****ing Johnson is the only bowler in Australia who can take more than 3 wickets and bowl out a side.

Great stuff for Cummins, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he is the messiah. He is a kid and we need to take care with him, and they should think seriously about him, and especially about keeping him out of the shorter forms.

It also shows that we have other and ultimately better options than ****ing Johnson and Siddle. It isn't a risk to play young guys. It's a risk to keep playing jokers who constantly fail to measure up in the forlorn hope they'll turn out to be better than their records suggest.
