Was hoping Khawaja could carry his bat but it was a very fine innings nonetheless. His best.
Faf's declaration was still the right thing to do. Just because Renshaw and Khawaja were good enough to see off that onslaught doesn't make it a bad decision. It also meant that both batsmen had to restart on day 2, which can be a lot harder after having concentrated for those overs already on day 1.

You avoiding the new ball under lights has to be an advantage. As the first innings showed the old ball didn't really hoop under lights...

Hopefully, think the new ball does something, like it should, but we get through 20 overs of graft and avoid any damage during night session with an older ball. We can definitely still recover, but needs fight again. Hoping for a big Hash hundred....
