his technique was relatively orthodox earlier in his career and when he was first recalled. He's just gotten super funky fairly recently.

This has been his stance for many years now, not recently and he has scored a lot of runs for Pak since his return. The only slight difference is that he is more square now than even before but heck, if he keeps scoring runs then so be it. This might the match in this series he gets going...or not, who knows but leading into this series he has been terrific.

Yea this is what I was referring to. He's gone from Chanderpaul to Bailey. You never go full Bailey.

True but it has helped him put together a lot of runs in his come back and Pak desperately need that in this era of rebuilding.

A typically brisk Babar innings but these two are the last recognised batsmen so they need to put together at least another 100 runs. Get as close to 400 as possible and Pakistan will have a safe first innings.

do get the feeling that Pakistan have batted way too slow here as far as forcing a result goes. At 3 rpo, they'll need today and the first session tomorrow just to get evens with the first innings score. So Australia probably needs to bat ~3 sessions to confirm a non-loss which seems like something they should be able to do.

Generally agree, but a RR of 2.3 after more than 100 overs is still on the slower side.
