*Official* Australia in New Zealand

Brilliant performance by the Australian bowlers, totally bullied us to be fair. What made it worst is it appeared the 2 NZ umpires were intimidated too, but maybe I'm just being one-eyed with that statement.

Tait's action still looks clumsy. It looks awful in slow motion. Aussies took some scorchers in the field.

Take aside Clarke's dropped catch and the Haddin errors and thats a pretty emphatic performance from Australia in the field. Tait, Nannes and Johnson all looked extremely sharp and caused trouble for the New Zealand batsmen and I bet Peter Ingram's particularly looking forward to continuing his battle with those high quality fast bowlers. Admittedly New Zealand's best player received a terrible decision but hes not Bradman and we have to rely on players other than Taylor and McCullum to see us through to suitable totals in Twenty20 matches.

Bond 149kph two balls in a row. He hasn't lost too much of his pace, has he?

Thats the spirit. Third top scorer in the innings and at a strike rate higher than any other, deserves a bit more recognition IMO.
I'm not taking the runs he scored away from him and fair credit to him, but I just don't like the guy and don't want him anywhere near the side.

I especially don't like him keeping, McCullum's the best keeper we have and therefore he should have the gloves.

Not our night - Taylor would catch that 9 times out of 10.

EDIT: Bowled 'im! 150kph. Very nice.

Dot, dot, dot (dropped catch), wicket.

Daniel Vettori, you're a champion.

No contest win.

Hard to fight back as a batting team against Tait, Nannes and Johnson. Great to watch true pace turn a batsman's technique to a shambles.

Love the Australian Twenty20 lineup at the moment. Apart from Clarke this is the first time since international Twenty20 games began that I have been pleased with the direction the selectors are taking.

Australia win comfortably in the end; 6 wickets and 24 balls to spare.
Yup comfortable the key word - they rarely looked troubled, although at least Bond and Vettori were able to make some inroads into slowing the momentum.

A very easy win, but I do think Vettori did the wrong thing by taking himself and Bond out of the attack. David Hussey looked all at sea against Bond in his 3rd over - what if Bond had bowled one more and got him out?

Still, full credit to Australia. Outplayed us in all departments.

Yeah can understand why he did, to keep something in reserve, but considering Australia's form and that Bond was in rhythm, would've been best to bowl him out. Retrospect, of course.
