Well, I've always personally believed he is a little bit of an under-performing douche (just a little bit of one) and not captaincy or VC material at all.

Without wanting to blow my own trumpet too much, in a very roundabout way I sort of think that's why it happened. He had assumed a lot of responsibility and a lot of power in the set-up without enough performance.
I do agree that McCullum is a bit overrated without having too many performances at intl level to justify his stature in NZ cricket, but he's been around for so long youd think NZ would have realised he had an ego before giving him the vice captaincy.

Seems weird to go back on it after realising something that was always obvious. Seems like he knows his cricket strategy too.

Ah well, probably pissed someone off.

That was a poor showing by Franklin.

I have reservations about Broom - I am hoping he will prove me wrong.

****, I'm feeling tense. On the edge of my seat and dont really want to talk to anyone around me.

Edit/ Still a little pissed off with Franklin's soft dismissal. Should have belted Hauritz back over his head. Needs to back himself with the bat more, tbh.

Really stupid shot. If there was a gap in the outfield and he mis-hit it and got caught in the ring I'd accept it, but just thinking "right, I'm going to smack this for 6, anywhere will do" at this point, and getting caught by a boundary rider, is stupid.
