Australia still shorter in the betting. Imagine if NZ had batted themselves into this position; their odds would be remarkably long.

Reckon its a mixture of complacency, end of season mental fatigue, and some good bowling in the later afternoon session and the evening session. If our top order can grind it out I reckon the Aussie bowlers may also be feeling a long season, and we might be able to take advantage later tomorrow and, fingers crossed, on the third day as well. I'd like to dream that we make 500+ and dont have to bat again.
