*Official* Australia in New Zealand T20s 2021

Yikes that over from Neesham really killed the contest last night. NZ would've had a sniff of chasing 190.

Meredith looks exciting, surprised he was left out in the first two games. Didn't know Santner was injured, will he be fit for games 4 and 5? If not, should NZ be bringing someone like Rippon into the side?
I don't think we were chasing 180+. On this deck, which based on the fact there's no other decks on the square even close to being used, 160-170 is around par I reckon.

Santner will be in after his negative COVID test. I wish Williamson would at least give himself an over, but that's not going to happen. I'd rather see Santner 4, Sodhi 4, Williamson 1-2 then whatever seamer isn't getting it right doesn't bowl out.

It's just not something anyone could have expected. I reckon he'd have taken six wickets as a home summer aggregate for the most part. Maybe the least threatening bowler I've seen play at that level.

He’s never really kicked on and don’t think he’ll play tests anymore unless they’re playing at Motera. At this format he could be alright as I think 4 overs can flatter his limited bowling skills. Plus he can hit.

Agar's reasonably good imo. Solid fundamentals and bowls it pretty quick for a spinner - was mainly in the 95-100 kph range. Effective in this format

Meredith is not that good. Classic case of a certain fanbase seeing a player have a good game (or series) and then overrating him.

Like Indian fans and George Bailey

Never seen him before Wednesday, but he certainly hurried up Phillips and trapped Kane in front so can't ask for much more on debut. Maxwell appears to be a fan.

Reckon Meredith's a really good white ball bowler but his FC game needs a lot of work, just bowls too many pies there. Poor man's Shaun Tait, almost.

I reckon we'll be back to Level 1 , crowds allowed, in wellington, and outside Auckland, maybe from Saturday. But Sunday's match will be rained out anyway.

Original venue, The Mount, has an ok forecast for Sunday.

Well, I'm pretty much correct.

But I reckon moving 3rd game will be in the too hard basket.

I mean, this is an organisation where having their 13th man in a test match play an 'A' game 90 minutes drive away was too hard, so .....

Well it was mainly moved so Australia could easily get back home without quarantining, so I would say there's zero chance of it being moved.
