I think it's because the ball has been reversing the last few overs. Hence Henry trying to bowl really full to Smith and getting the ball to come back in to him. Did get an inside edge but also makes scoring much easier.

It's my opinion; I don't think he's as good as Khawaja or Voges and I'd probably put Warner ahead of him. I also think Australia has spent the better part of the last decade producing roads and backing their pace bowlers (Johnson, Starc, Harris) to break through while Lyon mops up the leftovers. Voges isn't as good as his 97 average indicates he is, Smith isn't as good as his 58 average indicates he is.

Pitch has flattened out, ball is older. Batsmen can pretty much just hit through the line comfortably.

Yes; he'd have been handy but I'm glad they didn't play Craig just because he was in the squad. Sodhi looks to be developing into a threat.

Are you aware that Smith averages over 40 in every country he's played in?

Yes; he's a good batsman. I think an average of 45-50 is about where he stands. I think Khawaja is about 50-55 and Voges will likely end up with a 55-60 average based on his start. I'm not saying he's terrible at all, but I don't think he's a 58+ average batsman.
