So badly need Soult to turn up today. If Australia cruise to 100/0 or 1 it'll just take all the momentum away.

Yeah, I gotta Southee is just not what he was. Drifts into the pads so often now, when he was at his peak in the 2012/14 he hit that channel with such consistency. Dunno what's happened but it's really sad to see.

I'd get Henry on earlier than later if Southee can't hit the right area next over. Wasting the new-ball.

This is really poor captaincy from McCullum.

It's clear as day that Southee should be bowling to Burns. Yet he's made no attempt to manipulate the strike at all.

Really? I mean, Southee's had a couple goes at Burns so far, and both times he only managed to hold his line for one or two balls before drifting into the pads.

I feel like his action has gotten slacker and slacker and no-one's picking him up on it.

yes, really.

He's bowling too straight to Burns because of the number of deliveries he's bowling to the left hander. Bring fine leg in to not allow the single. You risk a boundary but there's way more chance of a wicket. And do the opposite with Warner.

To be clear, I'm not dismissing criticism of S&B for missing their radar. Just that McCullum should be aware of the fact his bowlers aren't in the best rhythm and do everything in his powers to help them get back to it.

Also why in high heaven are we flying Maxwell over purely as a substitute fielder just so the love child Shaun Marsh can maybe get runs in the shield.

Just use the physio ffs.

Hmm, has the pitch dried out? Notable lack of seam movement compared to this morning.

Mind you, these two aren't really bowling the sorts of areas where seam movement will be actually noticeable.
