bit of a struggle, that knock. still not convinced at all about this technique, hasn't seemed to free him up through the offside at all.

I didn't rate Mitchell Marsh with the bat at first. Thought he looked very uncoordinated. But man does he hit it hard. Hits it as clean as Guptill. Well he's going to win this game soon if we don't get him.

Australia's middle order batting has been the difference IMO . First ODI NZ knocked the top of and kept on getting wickets. In Wellington top knocked off cheap but , Aussies middle and lower order gets them over the line and will probably do so here. Blackcaops middle order is a steaming pile of goat poo. Not performing at all after Guppy and Macca get em off to a great start Nichols , Anderson and Ronchi falling cheap today as well; I miss Taylor.

Certainly taking the pace off seems to be doing the trick. Was the Bailey wicket a slower off cutter? Seemed to go like one.

yeah id rather bait wade to go aerial with sodhi. taking the pace off is the right move but marsh should be way too good for elliott in this situation

I mean, if his plan is to try saving Sodhi for the tailenders, then that's one thing, but Elliot on this surface is just a gift 6+ runs.
