I don't think you can really hold this against him in ODI's. Part of what he is is the fact he's going to go against the percentages a lot of a time and not do what you'd assume to be the smart thing. It's what allows him to come in at 3 for not many and given you an amazing position 20 overs later. I'd kind of agree with you most of the time, but him just going out and playing his shots without really thinking about it is what makes him gun.Needs a solid season of FC cricket behind him I reckon, and could do with cutting out the dumb brain fades that curtail his innings right at the point where the opposition really start to **** themselves.
When he grows a brainWhen is Maxwell going to break into test cricket. He's too damn talented not to. Losing ODIs to England. All a bit depressing really.
So can Ponting and WarnerOh fair enough, this Stoinis bloke can bowl with some decent wheels huh.
When most of your bowlers are injured or being rested to avoid injury you don't really have much choiceOz lost this match because of 2 predictably poor performances from bowlers who shouldn't be anywhere our odi team
Wonder if our selectors will do the honourable thing and fall on their sword
Very, very unlikelyBurns averaging 19.25 after 4 innings, there would be a temptation 2 swap Handscomb for him,,open with Stoinis.
Sandhu was the obvious pick if we were serious about winning the series and we didn't mind picking non-county players. When most of your bowlers are injured or being rested to avoid injury you don't really have much choice
Yeah but we know neither side really isSandhu was the obvious pick if we were serious about winning the series and we didn't mind picking non-county players.
