I don't think you can really hold this against him in ODI's. Part of what he is is the fact he's going to go against the percentages a lot of a time and not do what you'd assume to be the smart thing. It's what allows him to come in at 3 for not many and given you an amazing position 20 overs later. I'd kind of agree with you most of the time, but him just going out and playing his shots without really thinking about it is what makes him gun.

The aren't many players I would rather be English than Maxwell. Bloke is something, although I'm not sure want it is (don't think he is either).

Average 67 (with no not outs - these are real runs) at a SR 111

And he got 74 in a T20 against Aussie off 39 balls.

Surprised England chased down 300 but I guess that's what happens when two of your three main quicks are Hastings and Pattinson.

When most of your bowlers are injured or being rested to avoid injury you don't really have much choice

Sandhu was the obvious pick if we were serious about winning the series and we didn't mind picking non-county players.
