He more made his name bowling like a Test bowler in T20 than by actually performing brilliantly though (not that he wasn't good). The prevailing wisdom is that they don't want to change his trajectory by making him play limited overs cricket but I'd absolutely get him in there in all three forms tbh.Why not Lyon? Didn't he make his name in T20 a few years ago?
There'll be at least one wash out. This Australian team looks to be on the decline again in Test Cricket. They are going to have a really tough time against Bangladesh next month. Hard to see them winning. Interesting to see how the World Champions and World #1s will do against this new-look England come the ODI series. I still expect Australia to win the ODI series but by what margin??? I predict 4-1
Been such an odd career. 4 and a half years since he burst onto the scene in the big bash in 2011 where he played a pivotal role in winning South Australia the tournament. He took the most wickets in the tournament that year with 11 in 7 games. Since then he has only played 16 games of T20 cricket, but he's played 46 test matches. Why not Lyon? Didn't he make his name in T20 a few years ago?
Wade won't bat higher than 7Pattinson, Marsh and Stoinis should miss out tonight IMO. Having Marsh or Wade bat at 8 would be really stupid considering all of the bowlers can bat. Also think a spinner is a must and like the CW consensus that Wade should be used in the middle order rather than at 7/8/
The issue is almost all the keepers in domestic keeper are thrown into opening, or went down to 6-7. So there's barely any candidates anyway. Whiteman is the only one.Wade won't bat higher than 7
unfortunately his best spot is top-order/opening which is where he plays most of his One-day cricket for Victoria, but he won't bat there unless someone is injured. Makes you wonder if they'd be better off picking a keeper who is used to batting down the order, at the end of an innings.
I still think Wade would be as good or better than any other, but it makes you think.
Yeah, he does do it a bit. He's looked somewhat, uhh, unsettled so far. Man he can play when he gets going though.so uh does burns just look like he's gonna play away from his body all the time or does he actually do it.
Came in here to post that. What a ****ing idiot.Did Warne genuinely just get Burns and Doolan confused?
