Don't think Katich deserved to be there, even though he got a century. The way he got out yesterday was just absolute chat.

i had the worst possible XI ..you want me to have krejza in that ..vijay included since no other opener availableKrejza takes 12 on debut and can't even make the Second XI - tough.
No, because he bowls rubbish and generally does not deserve to be playing international cricket. One example where you can't judge a player purely by stats. No Mitchell Johnson in 22 players from this series after being the highest wicket taker for Australia in the series ?
Forget the stats, was the only Aussie bowler who consistently looked like taking poles. No, because he bowls rubbish and generally does not deserve to be playing international cricket. One example where you can't judge a player purely by stats.
Watson and Crazy? I think Watson efforted and Midge reaped the benefits.Forget the stats, was the only Aussie bowler who consistently looked like taking poles.
I dont disagree with you but still surprised that he wasn't in the two sides. Shows the state of Australia's bowling as of date. No, because he bowls rubbish and generally does not deserve to be playing international cricket. One example where you can't judge a player purely by stats.
Like I said, consistent. Krejza only played one Test and Watto was good after the first couple. Johnson has been the most consistent threat from what I saw and that is just depressing.Watson and Crazy? I think Watson efforted and Midge reaped the benefits.
Not really. He wasn't good enough to get into the first side, but wasn't bad enough to get into the second side.I dont disagree with you but still surprised that he wasn't in the two sides. Shows the state of Australia's bowling as of date.
No, it just shows the narrow mindedness of selectors who consistently overlook more talented and in form bowlers like Hilfenhaus, Noffke, Bollinger, etc.I dont disagree with you but still surprised that he wasn't in the two sides. Shows the state of Australia's bowling as of date.
Watson for mine acutally looked like taking wickets throughout. And when he wasn't as much he kept the runs down really well.Like I said, consistent. Dont get me wrong i think im have been quite vocal in my distaste of johnson but he has the speed and bounce that will help him get wickets in Aust i think we will see it in the NZ series. but thats the thing he doesnt have much more besides his speed and bounce no swing what so ever.Watson for mine acutally looked like taking wickets throughout. And when he wasn't as much he kept the runs down really well.
Jonners was bowling quick. That was about it.
That shows another interesting stuff which is the RHBs he's got. 12/15 are RHBs, and only 3 times LHBs have fallen to him. Though tbf, Hayden was getting out early to Z Khan.List of wickets for Ishant this series:

14/15 are in the top eight. 12/15 are in the top six. Good stuff.
He reminds me of Andrew Flintoff a bit these days- doesn't run through sides but gets plenty of big important wickets, bowls good line and length, has no one specialist bowling skill but good at a bit of everything- reverse, conventional, extra bounce.List of wickets for Ishant this series:

Except he doesn't fall apart after ten minutes in the nets.He reminds me of Andrew Flintoff a bit these days- doesn't run through sides but gets plenty of big important wickets, bowls good line and length, has no one specialist bowling skill but good at a bit of everything- reverse, conventional, extra bounce.
It's a month too late to try that jinxExcept he doesn't fall apart after ten minutes in the nets.
Dammit, no jinx on the poor thing pls. He is our next BIIIIG hope. Don't want him withered by injuries. It's a month too late to try that jinx
Sharma hasn't exactly got a clean injury record either in his short career..
Yes he does bowl better to right handers. I am convinced it is due to the fact that he bowls over the wicket and prefers bowling from there. That shows another interesting stuff which is the RHBs he's got. 12/15 are RHBs, and only 3 times LHBs have fallen to him.
