I would also join the Test squad if asked, tbf.
It wasn't too long ago when Tait himself confessed that he needs to do some work on his bowling as far as the longer version of the game is concerend, before he can seriously think of making a comeback into the Aussie test side, so i wonder has his bowling in the longer form of the game impeoved so much over the last one month that now he feels confident enough that he can rattle Indian batsmen with his reverse swing in their own backyard.

Whatever it takes!!!
One his most extreme cases was Ponting, tried to tear him a new one after Sydney, yet has written a few articles lavishing him with praise sense, only to turn his back on him again. Was also giving him no end of praise in the first test on the radio.
Hate the fact that he types as though he is on first name terms with all the players and that he knows that everything that happened in their lives, from childhood etc.. If passing off 3rd hand knowledge as certain fact is good jounalism, then he sure is amongst the best...

Just because he writes a certain way doesn't mean he has any more substance than most of the other sensationalist writers... They are all the same.

Of corse Mishra bowled beautifully on debut but It is also true that Kotla is by far Kumble best ground. He has over 9 wickets per Test over 6 Test matches there with the lowest being seven in a Test ! He also got his ten in an innings there. So nothing amiss in his saying that he was 'raring to go at the Kotla"

I would be saying that if I had taken 55 wickets at 15.41 in just six Test !
Yeah I realise he's performed well at the next ground they play on and I'd pick him for that reason. That's not to say he would have done any better in the last test though....then again, he may have taken 5 in both innings. Just speculation.

Yep, he'll just say whatever will get the most reaction at the time. Has a lovely writing style but the substance on offer is diminishing by the article for mine.
Indeed - he has the exact opposite problems to Gavaskar, for mine. If I was an international cricketer and I had to have someone ghost-write my autobiography, it'd be him, but his knowledge of the game and ability to actually put things into perspective is shocking.

Classic case of a journo who relies on the knowledge formed from his playing days to make his points, which gradually become another year out-of-date annually. Knows little about contemporary players because, as when he was captain of Somerset, not terribly popular.

Haha, Malcolm Conn back to ol' ways of anti-India ranting. Wonder why it took him so long!

India makes mockery of playing in the right spirit

Surely, time for a Razzie in cricket writing also.
Haha, might want to read back a few pages where someone (Sanz?) already posted that article.

Already been established that Conn is a tool, though. Surprised to see no follow-up article from his neck-high cyst, Ben Dorries.

Australian Coach Tim Neilsen complicates the Lee-Ponting spat by claiming that Over rate was not the important factor behind it.

To paraphrase Tom Hanks in the Green Mile, "Whatever happens in the dressing room, should stay in the dressing room."

Good to see Indian win by such big margain... One of the few times its been a team effort.
Most of the wins against Australia usually have been due to something extra-ordinary done of one or other player. But this win was so much sweeter because everyone contributed and you couldn't say.. they won because one player played out of his skin. :D

Kumble should be back for next match... he's awesome at Delhi but only wish he wasn't the captain either... Dhoni as captain so far ahead of him. Lets wait and see i guess.

Hate his writing style, each article basically consists of 75 metaphores and similes chosen by a pool of manatees.

Anyways, my biggest concern for the rest of the series and perhaps the next year is Australia's inability to play quality rearguard innings and batting out a day to save a Test. Since they haven't been in this situation often, it seems like they have no idea what it takes. Contrast that to India in the first Test.
As opposed to metaphors stolen off South Park?

The Age accuses English media of rejoicing at the humiliating defeat Australia suffered.

....more to rejoice for the English, this last result is only the 6th worst defeat for Australia. England still holds the satisfaction of inflicting the worst one -

675 Eng Brisbane 1928-29

408 WI Adelaide 1979-80

343 WI Bridgetown 1990-91

338 Eng Adelaide 1932-33

323 SA Port Elizabeth 1969-70

320 Ind Mohali 2008-09

Not heard of any rejoicing. Some of my cricket-following mates were pleased to see them lose, but more because it's the Aussies losing rather than anything to do with our chances of victory next summer.
