Allan Border said Ganguly was there in 1991 in Australia? I didn't know he was part of the touring squad...
Yeah he definitely was. Remember him playing in a couple of the tour games and not doing a great deal. Was apparently incredibly homesick.

Haven't you heard the famous story of him apparently refusing to carry drinks because "he wasn't raised to be a servant"?

Not sure whether it's fact or fiction but it fits Sourav like a glove.

It is pretty common knowledge. He played a few ODI's too back in the day. 1996 was his big come back and then we had the master of come backs at it again after Chappellgate.

Haha, I always thought it was apocryphal, but it certainly fits him, and would not be surprised.

Personally, not bowling Cam White at all is a stroke of genius.
In that case not picking White in the XI would have been even bigger stroke of genius, i mean Ponting was going on record as to how impressed he was with White in the first test, blah, blah, blah, but then again in the 2nd test he showed no faith in him by giving the ball to Clarke ahead of him, Clarke is just a man with a golden-arm and he could be handy bowling short spells now and again, but by using him for longish spells on a Day 1 road all Ponting is doing is risking his back.

Lol, White was really cying in the Bangalore test after getting the wicket of Sachin, at that time i thought someone poked him in his eye or something.

Anyone for an analysis on Dravid's knock? I only watched him bat after lunch, and he looked like a millionaire out there. Back to the form of old?

After a few good shots? Doubt it. The Aussies bowled quite poorly to him and the first good ball Lee bowled, he dragged back on.

I wouldn't say that. But the runs really were flowing nicely, and I think this'll bring a lot of the confidence back. The shot that he got out to was inadvisable, but overall, I think he'll be happy he is hitting well.
