***Official*** Australia in India

Brett Lee bowling 0 overs in the middle of the innings when Australia clearly needed a wicket looks like quite a poor decision in hindsight now, especially considering he got smashed out of the attack when he came back at the death to bowl out.

When your opening bowler ends up with figures of 7-1-26-0 and the opposition gets 291, you know you've done something wrong as a captain.

49.6 Bracken to Dhoni, SIX, Jumps out again and lofts a fullish delivery over long-on boundary. What a finish. India end up on 291.
49.5 Bracken to Dhoni, FOUR, Dhoni doesn't walk. He charges down the track to meet the ball on the full and drills it to the straight boundary. What a last over this for India.
49.4 Bracken to Uthappa, 1 run, walks across this time, going for a paddle sweep but ends up getting a leading edge to cover
49.3 Bracken to Uthappa, FOUR, length delivery on the middle stump line and that disappears into the deep midwicket boundary. Another walk and a swing across the line, one bounce over the ropes.
49.2 Bracken to Uthappa, FOUR, It's a Uthappa shot. He walks down the track, converts a intended yorker into a ful toss and lofts it to wide long-on region
49.1 Bracken to Dhoni, 1 run, yorker length, on the middle, dug out to right of extra cover.

thats a decent over :)

Not Terrible
Dhoni makes certain of his half century even though he only faced 8 balls in the last 5 overs, most of which were hit for singles.

I'm favouring India to defend this total.

I think a lot of people thought that this pitch is not too good for batting especially after seeing the way Tendulkar and Ganguly struggled for runs early on, but there was help for bowlers in the first 1 hour only when the ball swung in the air due to the early morning start but other than that the pitch has been pretty good to bat on and the outfield is really quick and the ground isn't too big either so Aussies have a pretty good chance of chasing this total down.

Did Symonds seriously talk **** to Tendulkar after all that has been going? Dead set, the guy is the biggest wanker in cricket. Yeah fair enough Sree is an idiot, and people like Smith and Afridi are arseholes, but they're all not bogans on top of all of that. Piss off Symonds.

Can't believe Australia bowled so many wides. Crazy stuff.

Looks like a great finish by India. Uthappa batting at the death is brilliant because he charges the bowlers, so their yorkers becomes full tosses, and hence they get thrown off from all of that. May be a better role for him whilst Sourav and Sachin are still playing ODIs.

Can see the side trying to consolidate their psychological advantage, in all honesty. More strategic than sentimental.

Got home to watch the last two overs. That last over by Bracken was terrible. If your yorkers are getting hit for 4 (and eventually 6) drop one in short - at least do something different. So much for having a bouncer for test cricket.

Looks like Hopes bowled well. Why didn't Lee bowl 10?

Gilly has had a horrible day behind the stumps today so he might try to make up for that with the bat, if Australia is to win this then Gilly has to set the platform for them.
