I understand that test match players don’t necessarily analyse their own records like a CW dork, but it’s still kinda crazy that he could be completely oblivious to the fact that he played in a batting dominated era, and then completely oblivious to a prolonged and obvious decrease in scores generally while he’s still involved in the game

From memory the only non road he did well on was Mumbai 2001, most other games were on roads where Oz batted first 7 or 8/10 times.

Harbhajan thinks pitches are not flat at all since he retired and only he had to bowl on those.

watching some of them commentate it’s clear how clueless these ex players are. they have no incentive to improve or keep up with current trends either unless they are involved in coaching and even there analysts and other smaller coaches do the knowledge thing better
