At the halfway point of the match it felt as though India didn't have too much on the board, but credit to India's bowlers for rising to the occasion.
The spinners were excellent in the middle against Australia's not too experienced batsmen. Some of their top batters didn't step up, and also felt that someone needed to bat through the innings. No momentum.
Finally, something for India and their fans to cheer about.
The fireworks display at the end was pleasing to the eyes.

I am still in amazement at the fireworks at that ground, which 24 hours prior was unsure whether they will have electricity to push their floodlights.

Why are people on here so harsh on tim david as a t20 player? Is it just a pisstake, or? For Australia he averages 25 @ a SR of 160. Just as a reminder, some of the other top tier t20 middle order bat's in t20I:
Ab: 26 @135
Dre Russ: 20 @ 155
Pollard: 25 @ 135
Other Aussie middle order bats in the same rough period as david
Stoinis: 460 runs @32.8 SR 160
Wade: 400 runs, average 60, sr ~150
Don't know maxwell's exact numbers for that period, but given the fact he struck at 160 last t20 wc and struck at 200 this series vs India his SR overall is probably high aswell.
Honestly, given the fact we have a 4-7, that, on paper atleast, is making runs at a good SR, we really should have done better.
Edit: If anything, may be worth ****ing with the batting lineup just a tad next t20 WC. Wade is a good finisher, but his SR is a bit low, especially given he's batting at the death. Mayb move him up to 5/6 and bring stoinis and David in a bit later.

Is it just me, or are 90% of batsmen in Australia, no matter the colour of the ball, inept at rotating the strike vs spin. It feels like were all boundary or bust vs spin, and when your playing quality spinners on a deck with assistance you can't rely on that for consistent success.
