Not been the case recently but use to be a good surface for visiting teams. India went winless in 3 years, Sri Lanka got 700 batting second, South Africa won a game by an innings, and they had a bore draw with NZ. Wicket was so flat Bhaji nearly got a hundred in each innings.

Yeah it's like he takes nearly half an hour to wake up, then just decides he's going to **** you up. Such a weird but strangely endearing quality.

The concern is that series vs England where England would put up 400 in the first dig and get run down by an innings. India's batsmen are a shadow of what they were in those days, mind.

I gotta say, this track may just quicken up later in the day, probably during the 2nd session and the turn might get sharper and quicker.

Ashwin has erred on the shorter side 3 or 4 times now even outsiide of that filthy half tracker. Maybe Khawaja playing back every ball is giving him some idea that he can get him LBW or something.
