Cricketer Of The Year
Shocked to see that KL Rahul has a career average of 34.07 after 46 Tests (age 31)

Meanwhile Jadeja has a career average of 37.04 after 61 Tests.

Rahane was axed after struggling for years, yet even he finished with a career average of 38.5

How on earth is Rahul's spot in the squad let alone in the starting xi justified? It's a joke.

**** I hope the deck is that green.

Pretty pleasant playing conditions you'd reckon. Does it usually swing much at that venue?

swing/seam initially then turn later in the game

aus could be playing here but it will be indore and much laughs are going to be had

The last test at Indore, Indian pacers took 15/20 wickets to fall. Yes the opposition was Bangladesh but even Bangla seamer took a four for.

Cue.Bharat Sundareshan to spot a green wicket 2 days 2 days before test and lull Aussies to play 3 pacers and 1 spinner, only to realize ball turning square from day 1.

Bangladesh are a decent side in Asian conditions .

Someone posted a stat of Indian seamers averaging collectively in mid 20's since 2016. That stat was damn impressive.

Even if we look at the last test, the lines that Shami, in particular, bowled was top class. While Cummins was below average by his standard, Indian batters managed to negotiate Boland's tight spell.

It was clear from the beginning that the stadium will not be ready by the series, yet BCCI didn't bother to effect the change till last moment. One reason could be that HPCA is basically controlled by Anurag Thakur, a Union Minister (his brother is the Chief). So much for the adage, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

When did BCCI bother about the fans ? They could have used surplus from IPL to improve facilities at India stadium. Could have lowered the price of food and water sold at the ground . But they can’t be bothered.

One of my friend recently went to Eden gardens to watch IND vs SL . He ate poorly made Chowmein at Rs 100 and water was also twice the price.

Yeah but stadiums are largely responsibility of the state associations. BCCi does hand out fat payouts to each association but then most of them are corrupt and controlled politically. Take for example Hyderabad cricket association. Since Mohammed Azharuddin (yeah the one and only) took charge the game has gone to the dogs there. Spectators were complaining about poor roofing and terrible washrooms (clogged and unkempt), not to mention overpriced food. No wonder, Hyderabad team finished last among the whole 26 teams that played the Elite League. Basically you can purchase spots in the state team without an iota of talent.

There are a few well managed ones. Like Gujarat, Suarashtra, MP etc which actually takes their cricket seriously and invests in them.
