The thing is it wasn't as if they were hard chances, most were regulation.Yeah Umesh had like 5 catches dropped against England in the first test itself. Been immense.
I've made a few posts to this effect already but it bears repeating: he's averaging over 40 since his elevation to #1 keeper. His overall Test average is dragged down a lot by his scratchy start as an injury fill-in and that little period where he was competing with Ojha, but since he's got the gig full time he's been awesome with the bat, and he can seriously keep.****ing how great is Saha too. Two vital innings, has been awesome and safe behind the stumps in a series where both sides slips have dropped catches and Wade has missed chances.
Saha, Jaddu, Umesh, Pujara and Lokesh have been immense so far.
The wheel is forever.god I hope this passage of play and Umesh/Bhuvi/Shami in general inspire a new breed of young fast bowlers for India in the future
Never going to happen with Indian dieting regimes.god I hope this passage of play and Umesh/Bhuvi/Shami in general inspire a new breed of young fast bowlers for India in the future
Yeah exactly. Against Bangladesh too (probably even moreso; I think he took 2/120 with a bunch of dropped catches). I was worried he'd not get the rewards and get dropped/injured or revert to his old erratic style out of frustration, but he's stuck at it and this series has been his just reward. So gun.He was excellent vs England too without the figures to show got it. Been superb.
Older than Sharma and has played less than half the test matches.Damn, why is Umesh 29 already?
bumrash is shorter and skinnier iircBhuvi has to be one of the smallest fast bowlers going around who is capable of hitting 140, right?
Jarred back apparently. What's the Darsh injury?
