Yesterday when Vijay started attacking, I just wanted them to bat sensibly till the end of the day today. So happy that things worked out like that despite multiple brainfarts.

No one would dare report this due to an onslaught of commentary from old ****s about how they were 8-ball overs back then, players today have it easy, etc.
It's actually balls bowled and not overs so that doesn't count in this case. The 1979 case bowled less overs but more balls because they were 8 ball overs.

Guess the plan here is just to play normally and knock the runs off. Normally not something I'd support but for Warner it's probably the right call tbh. Can't see him deadbatting 200 balls so making a run a ball 50 probably helps the team more given runs still count to force a draw.

Don't think anyone else should do it though.

It's definitely the right call for Warner, he's just looked really lost when he's tried to rein it in this series.

Not that it'll matter if he keeps PLAYING FOR THE TURN

Yeah that middle stump line is perfect from Ashwin, was too short and wide in the first over. Jadeja too needs to mix up his faster ones with slower ones.
