Another 50 for Rahul too. Haha. Fantastic series from him. His runs at the top have been a big factor, especially with kohli contributing ****all.
Yea you have to think all doubts about his position have been dispellled for a good while now, deserves his chance on the road now. I do think we should try figuring out a way to include a left hander in the lineup though for a bit of variety.

Great series and congrats to India

Felt at the time that Pujara and Vijay getting the benefit of no doubt in the last test was a turning point and so it proved

Drops aren't all created equal tbf. Nair dropping Warner turned out not to matter much at all, but Renshaw dropping Saha was absolutely huge. Imagine this game if Aus get a 50 run lead, given how the tail folded after Jadeja got out.
Yea it's all a little bit of 20-20 hindsight but really that Pujara drop after Smith took a blinder to dismiss Rahul was huge in that test, since that second day in Bangalore Australia have looked second best throught.

I'd probably still give MotS to Smith but I think he'll just feel bad accepting it. If Australia would have won, you'd be hard pressed to find a greater series winning performance.

Warne deserved ridicule for his attitude towards O’Keefe in the 1st Test but tbh O’Keefe’s performance in the last 3 Tests – 7 wickets @ 53.14 – justified to an extent Warne’s doubts. Comfortably the least effective of any of the regular spinners in the final 3 Tests and at times like the final session of Day 2 of this Test wasn’t even keeping runs down.

Yeah. When you're playing a side which overall is just a bit better than you, you have to be absolutely disciplined. In the end, the lack of ruthlessness with the bat and misses in the field killed us.

2-1 is a fair result IMO. India the better side, but it could very easily have gone the other way.

It's very easy to be hard on your team when they lose. I believe Australia were very good this series, that Handscomb-Marsh partnership was one of my favourites this series.
That's nice of you to say. :) Personally, I don't really see them as my team though. Australian Selection Policy has been a massive joke for a while now, and it's very hard to get behind the team. Do enjoy seeing the boys who get there on merit do well, though.

Great series. The twists and turns were incredible. Thought Australia would get demolished before the series. As indiaholic said Australia set new standard about preparation and approach. India came back really well after the hammering from first test. Credit to both the teams for a truly entertaining series.

Pity it finished with such a tame end. That drop on the 2nd evening so ****ing crucial. Well done India, deserved winners in the end.

Yea the Indian batsmen caught on to him pretty quick. Credit to them. Don't think bowled badly at all, just didn't have the tools to trouble them once they knew what to expect.

In hindsight, having Swepson or Bird ahead of SoK for this test might have been a huge boost for the Aussies.

Don't know about that. There were tons of shifts of momentum since then and overall it was extremely even.

Until yesterday, which was a shame. If they'd got Saha/Jadeja early yesterday they easily could've won this.
