30 runs to either side as a lead is well within the one innings shootout range i was hoping for on comms yesterday so i'm keen

Didn't they have a middle order collapse in the middle session on day 1?
Yeah but you wouldn't say it was the conditions wot did it. Seems to do a fair bit after tea, or maybe that's just the way the batting orders have been placed at that stage. I dunno, when it's so close it invites all sorts of theorising.

Pretty weird call I think. Bhuvi's obviously going to be at his most useful with the new ball while Umesh is generally as good if not even better with the old one, and it's a lot harder to bowl wrist spin with the new ball than finger spin.

I'd just be boring and go with both quicks but even if I wanted a quick+spinner combination I'd not go with either of those bowlers.
Bhuvi isn't going to be of much use(foot in my mouth?) I think and Warner might smash him around easily. Leggies these days have adapted to bowling with the new ball better than the old ones with all the limited overs experience. Might be worth a shot with Warner looking clueless against him.

32 runs is **** all really

Australia haven't had one of their patented collapses of recent times yet in this series, now would be a good time for it to happen.

For that, India first have to find out a way to dismiss Smith.

Need an inspired bowling performance by India in this final innings of this home season. Ashwin and Jaddu gotta show it all here. Bhuvi needs to get those hooping inswingers going and India better catch every chance that comes their way.

What I don't get is why Pujara didn't try to score just before tea yesterday. Its not a strike rate thing but a momentum thing. Should have made his good form count more.

What a series it has been though.

The way it has gone so far, wouldn't be surprised if the 4th innings chase went right down to the wire.

It was fun watching India win easily through this home season, but this is pretty awesome as well.
