What's the weather outlook like. I've read there's been a bit of rain in the area recently. Sounds like Aus may take 3 fast bowlers in.

With Lyon's finger troubling him I suppose that would mean Cummins-Haze-Bird-SOK

What are you Aussies doing as the shield final overlaps a bit with the 4th Indian test, and you'd be watching cricket for eleven hours if you watch both, which sounds like heaven come to think about it but for various reasons is perhaps impractical?

Nah, though I feel like there's some contradictory information as the FTP actually says it's a home series vs Bangladesh, at least the original one did. Maybe they've changed that to an away series and scrapped the home one, dunno. But that would also be before the Ashes. So I guess either way there is another series. If it's away you'd expect they'd just take the same team as India as much as possible. If it's at home it'll be interesting since Khawaja will come back into the picture.
I really hope they go ahead with it.

This series, and especially the last test, have given me hope that this team's deeply ingrained aggression first, **** the conditions, we can win from anywhere, draws are for pussies approach is shifting. Playing the ninth ranked team in similar conditions will really show whether Australia will surrender to conditions going forward, or regress.

The Bangladesh series will also cement this asia-centric squad together and test whether the selectors are still able to break it apart back home. I want to see more willingness to select batsmen for conditions and cut out the stigma of being "dropped". We do that when shifting formats and I want the same to happen in different conditions. Khawaja should never have toured, instead, worked on his game in the shield and go on A tours for experience in different conditions.

no one watches the Shield final. They just check the scores at the end of the day to make sure Victoria are winning as per usual and then go about their daily business.

It happened with the last round of shield games and the last test. The NSW vs WA game was in Perth so in the eastern states we had 11 hours of cricket to watch and follow.

Thanks to the wonders of the internet it is good ! :)

Last of the cricket for the season tho'

The amount of crap coming out of the Indian camp this series makes me think that for whatever reason Asutralia has got inside their heads. Now they're banging on about breaching protocols in briefing the media or some such bullshit (see Peter Lalor's twitter stream for deets, I cbf).

I can't wait for this test to start. The backdrop for the match is reason enough to watch it, let alone the cricket being played atm.

Starc suggests it's a defensive mechanism. Some truth to that imo.
