I'd be proud to have Rahane in the Test team. I'd be embarrassed to see Raina there.

CA didn't even bother sending a replacement for Bird did they? Now they've sent Starc home too, which means they only have three quicks on tour, and one of them is Johnson. Now I know there's only one Test to go and the selectors will probably be keen on two spinners again anyway but it does seem a bit light on to me.

Should have been dropped by now AFAIC.

Anyways, think he did enough last test to retain his place for the next test unless they want to try Jumping jack Dinda out.

****, would be horrible if he goes to SA again unless he improves till then.

It just is not feasible to me that Dinda and Ishant are ahead of Shami, Pankaj or Pandey, imo. I'd love to see one of the three (especially the first two) given a go in a Test match.

If Rahane isn't picked I think people are going to be burning **** down now. Dhawan and Vijay picked ahead (and it worked tbf) was justifiable if they said "Nah Rahane isn't going to be our future opener, will be our next #4 and he will be our next middle order bat once Sachin is gone".

However now they've chosen a middle order bat (gfy PEWS re: those opener statements, don't make me cry by posting that) to replace an opener, suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurely Rahane will open in Delhi. ****ing surely.

Yeah, after 3 openers have been ruled out if he still doesn't get to debut in Delhi by losing out to a guy that bats at 6 and averages less than Ashwin, then the likes of Rohit Sharma and Tiwary should just give up all hope of ever playing Test cricket.
