***Official*** Australia in India 2012/13

I think everyone knows Australia have absolutely no hope of squaring the series from this point, tbf. It's not that the Ashes are being prioritised; it's just Australia's next big series now and this series is gone.
Not the Australia I grew up idolising. The Aussie spirit was always never say die. They could learn from the English. After the massive walloping dealt to them in the first test, pretty much everyone had written them off, and then they bounced back.

there's also that whole thing about how the question to Arthur was probably "how does this series affect your ashes plans?" Like, I don't think this is a manifesto that Arthur is shoving down our throats

Good to see Harris back playing fc cricket. Any chance of him being flown over for the last test if he looks up to it? Though I guess it'd be pointless unless Aus win the third one, and if they do they must be doing something right with the ball.

Is Mohali traditionally more lively than the other wickets in India? Bit like the wankhade pitch maybe?
Yep, generally there is more in it for the seamers. Been a lively track for the seamers this domestic season with grass too, but that may change for this. :p

Quite Different to Mumbai's Red soil, though.

Will probably be Australia's best chance this series, unless the Delhi track has been changed more since the ban.

Warne has officially LOST HIS MIND...he just posted on Facebook his team for the Mohali Test with Maxwell batting at THREE and Smith taking Doherty's spot as a specialist spinner (Smith having bowled just 3 overs per Shield match this season!!).

He also posted his team for first Ashes Test which included Wade at FIVE, followed by no less than THREE all-rounders - Henriques, Faulkner and Maxwell in that order at 6, 7 and 8. Not only that but he wants Shaun Marsh to bat at 3, despite his return of 152 runs at 19 this Shield season.

WTF????

I don't know what's a weirder call - the idea that Maxwell should bat below Faulkner, or the idea that he's still worth a place in the Test side, in English conditions, if that's what you think of his batting.

Anyway, lets not pay too much attention to Warne. If a forumer posted up that side it'd be seen as too ridiculous to even reply to, and Warne IMO crossed into that sort of territory years ago.
