*Official* Australia in England

Anderson: 7 wickets at 38.42, econ. 5.72, SR 40.2

Not really that bad. Would have been much easier reading before this game.

Hehe, shouldn't that read; 'Smith may not be pretty to watch, but he's certainly effective' or have I had too many Tequila shots this evening?
Can't comment on the tequila but I meant pretty much what I wrote - I was trying to make the point that his batting is pig-ugly, not that he's good.

hmm, about 70 too many, seeing hows we've batted against these quicks, this series.

Despite the two wickets, Broads last three overs as bad as his first seven was good, TBH.
The two wickets, given what happened regardless, were of value only as dot balls TBH.

A journo (might've been Hopes in the Guardian) pointed out a few days ago this is our first home ODI series win v yer crims since 97. Seems to have other similarities too; a largely decent home team beats an underdone and underperforming Australia. Ultimately had no bearing on the test series to follow and won't here either (admittedly here we'll be skipping forward five months and one hemisphere).

Jimmeh's absolute reliance on atmospheric conditions is becoming more worrying as the days tick by too. Might seem like heresy, but if Shahzad has a good series v Pakistan (if he even plays) could Anderson miss out?

Tait into his 3rd and his picks up Andrew Strauss. Magnificent bowling, this is a superb spell of genuine pace bowling. Love watching this guy bowl.

Slower ball 25mph slower than your regular heat, that's a bit obvious, no? But by the looks of it, the follow up ball comes onto you all the faster. Really enjoy watching Tait when he's spraying and clattering with absolute heat.

Yardy at 3 is an interesting call. Hopefully he goes well. Loving this spell from Tait though, been awesome to watch. Just hope Kieswetter survives, really want him to get a few.

:-O Yardy leaves a big in-swinger that started on middle, very strange shot selection. This is superb fast bowling from Shaun Tait. Ripping through England.
