Far more interested in this than the game tbh. Care to explain? :)
My girl's in England at the moment so I have to keep track of the timezone difference. Burgey evidently does too for err sport-watching reasons or some such.

Should probably stop derailing the thread with this though. :p

Ponting is a shadow of himself right now.
2/3 dismissals have been to absolutely rank deliveries - rarely used to happen

Credit to Kieswetter for good work though

Overall, Eng's fielding is top class

Watson is just a class above erveryone else in Oz right now

If he started converting his starts, he'd be regarded as one of the best 2/3 players in the world

Do England seriously think Clarke has a weakness against the short ball, or is it a containment thing? Can't say I've ever noticed a readily obvious weakness on the shot for him at all..

He's not a natural on it because he likes to come forward. However this "weakness" thing - yeah, it was a strange looking shot (no footwork), but I'd be surprised if he hadn't worked on it.

Clarke didn't used to be this boring to watch, did he?
Welcome to ODIs since the last WC.

So Sinclair managed to secure that county deal after all, eh?

No, but he averages 10 per dig more in tests now, though it's been to the detriment of his LO game for sure.
Yeah, I was thinking about ODIs really. Just looking at his strike rate for the last few years on statsguru, it's pretty much exactly 70. He really needs to figure out somehow a way of changing up when he goes to ODIs without affecting his test batting.

Edit: Last three years SR=70, previous to that SR=82.

 Poor Shane Watson. Finally gets into the 60's but then chucks his wicket away again. Amazing how he can fail to convert his starts so often.

No doubt about to mock him, but tipping White to go a little crazy here.

This pitch would suit Haurrie it must be said. Wonder if White might get a bowl, seeing as Haurrie's injured.
