He should just play sensibly. There's no need to try and score quickly, and above all he needs to take the approach that if he doesn't score for a while, he's winning rather than standing still, because there's less and less overs to play. He shouldn't set himself on blocking every ball though, at least not with over 40 overs left to play. Ponting's been perfect really... no risks, but he still puts the bad ball away, exactly how a master in this situation like Border would have done it.
