England's session. Well played Mick, and jolly good show from Bell too I might add, he's still learning his trade at this level and looking better every innings.

McGrath and Warne after tea, if we can see 'em off we could be looking splendid by stumps.

If.
They really should be able to see McGrath off, the ball was in a right state. The second new ball *should* be the most tricky period later today.

McGrath bowls Vaughan, no-ball.
I think Vaughan heard the call and played the shot based on that to be honest.

The way he was looking straight away to try and get some runs from it.

Ponting would rather bowl Clarke I think, but he's still off the field.
Could become a big issue that - certainly adds to the injury trend of the series.

Also, I notice McGrath isn't looking too clever in the field.

He's carrying on from Saturday IMO.

Mind you, he could still attract another unplayable ball after tea and people will be saying he's useless.

His reaction was immediate to look for a run.

That's not a bloke who's just been bowled.

Also the adjustment in shot comes from the way he hadn't moved his feet so much (as shown by the Analyst) - because he didn't have time to maybe?!

He is, and if he has to run round for a catch he might be in trouble.

Fair do's. I've heard batsmen say it's impossible to do that, mind you Mick is special :D .

Someone will ask him no doubt.

Uh, no it wasn't, his immediate reaction was to look at the umpire, he saw him signal the no ball and took the run. He hesitated until he saw the umpires signal.

Yep. I really think that was a stretch, Marc. McGrath does look a bit proppy in the field, though.

Exactly.

I can't believe the tripe that some of these morons come out with.

You don't usually look at the umpire if you've been bowled. At the very least hearing the call put him off his shot.

Or maybe he just got a good ball, heard the call and then looked up?
