That's actually exactly how you sound when England get out.

It's the pot calling the kettle black. Now that you realise how annoying it is, can you stop doing it too?
Except I don't, it's only when the batsmen should have played the ball a whole lot better - which just happens to be most of the time in the case of England's top 7.

So Jones was fined 20% of his match fee for the Hayden send off, fair enough, but where's the fine for the umpire badgering from the Aussies?

79 to win now, faintest of hopes still there. Harmison seems to be bowling too straight at the moment. Expect Flintoff to wrap it up soonish though.

Reasonably sensible play by both Warne and Lee so far. They've knocked off 30 odd, which is a start.

edit: I was just saying to James today how much this series reminds me of 92/93 Australia v West Indies in many ways. Thoughts of Adelaide appearing now. ;)

After posting this, someone will almost certainly get out.

I still think the penalties for these sendoffs are stupid. Unless they get particularly nasty or physical, it's an exciting part of the game - IMO.

Warne's having a bit of a shot here. Can't see it happening, but if they somehow get within 40 I might get a bit excited.

Geez, a lucky edge for four followed by an excellent off-drive for the same. The loss will probably hurt more if Australia get within 30 or 40, as it will highlight the fact that: a) batting isn't as hard as the top order made out; and b) a bit of application from the top order could've resulted in a victory.

Or stopping the Flintoff-S Jones partnership

Surely Giles has to come on very soon if this continues. The pace on the ball with even bounce and no movement is just making scoring easier.

A bit harsh for Billy to call that ball dead. It wasn't a great attempt, but Warne was certainly trying to play a shot.

Right. Melbourne 82/83 anyone? Argh...
Yeah, I was thinking that too, but 60-odd is still a fair way.

I think Warne copped that on the side of the knee. Doesn't look too good.
