Lee should be ahead of Johnson in ODIs.

He did a hamstring in about Jan/Feb, then the match he came back in against Pakistan in April, he did it again. I think they've decided he'll have to get some games under his belt before he comes in again.

Yeah I've noticed, hence him being economical after the other bowlers have taken some wickets.

Yeah, saw him pull the hamstring in Dubai. Any info on what happened to Jaques. He has a strong List A record but was given just the 6 ODIs. Also, what has happened to him in Tests, he was first choice opener before Hughes came along.

Jaques has had really bad injury problems too, and had to have back surgery. I think he's due back for the Champions League though.

But he hasn't been that economical. Played 5 ODI in South Africa, went at over 5 in every game and was taking wickets @ 47 a piece.

I'm a big fan of Callum Ferguson. He's the modern ODI middle-order player- doesn't play the big shots or take unnecessary risks but still hums along with a strike rate of at least 80+ from the minute he arrives at the crease. Then at the end of the innings, he has the ability to accelerate.
I predict he's the type of player the defensive blokes like Dravid, Kallis, Clarke (in his current form) etc. will eventually be phased out for in ODI cricket.

Does bowl an awful lot of death overs though. He's been poor, but not as poor as those figures would suggest.

Yeah, and 5 an over is pretty decent for an opening bowler, especially if he bowls during the batting powerplays.

I'm not sure it's exactly great for batting. Will be interesting to see how we go.

Not for a guy who isn't taking any wickets. Can understand with Lee but Bracken has been getting tap and not getting any wickets. Twelve months ago he was taking wickets with the new ball and not getting any tap.

Ferguson was impressive, but not great. 50 off 50 won't win any matches. Everything else about the performance has been horrendous. There's nothing good that can be said about anything any of the other players have done today.
