Heh, Athers asking Clarke about the possibility of split captaincy. A bit naughty there.

Genuine LOL at England. WTF Trott isn't playing I don't know

Davies
Strauss
Trott
Bopara
Collingwood

would be a much better top 5, with Bopara to struggle when KP is back.

and Luke Wright playing as a specialist batsman...gtfo
Yep.

Playing dead weights like Shah when they've got Trott, Morgan etc. there. So they're just stopping good/potentially good but unknown players get a go in place of a proven mediocre waste of space 30yo. Really pisses me off, in no way could anyone justify the selection of Owais Shah.

I'MTTBOYBLAHBLAHBLAH about the best I can come up with.

Amazingly terrible looking England side. Can't fathom us losing. At all. It's impossible. We have to win. Indeed.

Starting at 9:45pm on SBS for Australian viewers? Correct?

I think I'll watch some, don't think I'll watch it all. Why do we need limited overs to follow Test matches? It makes the series so much worse, and takes the focus off the Tests.

Another crim run out at the Oval. Must be Painful to watch for an Aussie.

See what I did there?

Amazing how horrible the two number 3s are, even worse than when we had Nasser 'points at his back after a relatively slow century, shortly followed by India chasing down the target' Hussain .

As I always do when following a cricket game on cricinfo, just checking England's live career stats and must say I'm surprised just how incredibly ordinary they are even considering their missing KP & AF.

In today's lineup, no batsman other than Luke Wright has a batting SR above 80,(Wright's
being an impressive 101) and of their bowler's, none have a bowling Econ of 4.5 or less with the exception of Rasid & Strauss who don't really qualify for judgement considering they've bowled a grand total of 5 overs between them.

Not to mention only 3 batsmen average over 30, the best being Collingwood's 34.46, while admittedly 3 of their bowlers Broad, Swann & Sidebum have better than decent bowling averages.

But overall much worse than I expected from England

As I've posted a few times, our recent running between the wickets has been atrocious. No surprises here.

Shah, you lazy git.

Good start by Aus. No demons in the wicket and nothing coming from the English bowlers. Lardass at first change doesn't make much sense, if he is going to play, give him the new ball.

The bowling isn't that bad I think, Swann, Broad and Sidebottom are decent, there's a chance we might field a decent attack in the near future. The batting is another matter, and the selectors seem to just keep picking the wrong players in the wrong positions. We're not going anywhere anytime soon in ODI's. One performance can get a player a years grace on his place with these selectors, when we really need consistent good performances.

Shah showing how he's got an all-round level of ****eness. He's not just **** at batting, he's **** in the field too.
