Yes I thought Curran got away with it that last over, fortunate that Stoinis was just swinging from his arse. I agree with the comment Jordan bowled better. It was a game that the Aussies threw away but credit you our boys for the way they stuck in there and didn’t just accept being beaten even from a really tough position.

He's covering their arses. Close to a 100-run partnership in t20 is huge, it's an indictment on the rest of the lineup they couldn't get there.

Massive choke from Australia bloody hell, I don’t rate their middle order at all. England were poor today batting wise, Malan and Buttler played well but the rest of the proper batsmen didn’t make past double figures. We were missing an extra batsmen here I think. Anyone know when Roy and Stokes return?

Yeah but to be fair everyone who's decent bats up front in domestic T20. It makes picking blokes to bat 4-6 internationally pretty tough.
I think Smith and Maxwell pretty much have to bat 4 and 5 even though they're ideally suited one higher each in this format, just because there are a lot more decent top 3 options than middle order ones.
Also agree with the comments about the balance with Agar at 7. It's the sort of thing you can get away with if you're batting first IMO but you need someone better at 7 than Agar these days if you're chasing a decent total. The fact that they actually won the toss and still chose to try and chase down a score with Agar at 7 makes the selection even worse.
The usual story on commentary of commentators - Pietersen leading the charge obviously - telling everyone how crap Morgan’s captaincy was. Embarrassing lack of self awareness as usual - how on earth does he constantly get the gig? Is there some hidden fan base out there that nobody is aware of, or is that the point? Just to get everyone riled up?

Australia and India LO batting side suffers from the same problems, don't they? Insanely strong top 3 who take up most of the balls everytime they play and a chicken and egg situation that it causes with the middle order not getting enough opportunities and time to show how good they are/can get to be.
