On the horns of a dilemma

Do I watch the poms bully us at cricket or Queensland lay a patty against the manure from down south?

Master stroke from CA

Schedule these games at same time as Socceroos and Origin

If nobody watches, they can pretend it didn’t happen

After Australias previous series I guess their fans can be thankful there are no bull tampering plans being concocted in the sheds.

Soccer participation is higher than any other code. It's just that people realise it's fun to play but crap to watch.

Absolutely nothing worse than hearing Aussie haters shitcan football. It's the World Game you numpties, if you don't like it........nobody ****ing cares you minnows.

When I first came here in the 90's they used to call football only for Sheilas, Wogs and Poofters. Says it all really.

As a cricket fan it saddens me to see this big universal festival of football become the obsession of an entire nation - world even - because cricket could have had just some of that rather than been less popular than tiddlywinks. Just some of that (I'm not naive it can ever reach that universal passion). It had a hell of it during the 2005 Ashes. In a hypothetical universe, with the ECB not selling the sport away, it is possible to conceive.

And with the idiots who run cricket they scheduled the most pointless and uneventful one-day series ever to coincide! Even the cricket tragics decided to watch the football world cup instead! If they had extended the Pakistan test series, you could have had a ''viable alternative'' (to the footy) which would have at least maintained the interest of the cricket tragics.

They are actually playing now and I didn't even know that (that is the interest I have). The ECB decided to schedule a 5th meaningless one-dayer against Australia to compete with an England match in the world cup? Madness!!
