According to the radar the rain should be just about clearing now - looks brighter on the webcam. There is another small band to come through later not sure whether it will cause any issues. Outfield looks ok

Yeah, it doesn't look bad at all on the webcam. But it is difficult to tell just how wet the outfield is.

You never know, play could even start on time if the sun shows it's face in Manchester. Although, that's a fairly rare event.

Play to start at 5.30 - 32 overs.

Rain to return at 5.29.

Kudos to 5LSX for continuing with commentary from the S Africans game - at least there's cricket to listen to.

Well, you were a little too optimistic with your rain prediction stumpski. I guess this current light rain will mean a further delay and a shorter game.

We might end up with a T20 at this rate. Bloody weather!:@

Both sides playing two spinners - this is Tredwell's first home match for England isn't it? 32 overs, I suppose they'll be looking for around 210, something like that.

Surprised both Broad and Anderson are playing in a dead match, tbh - especially with the risk of slipping on the outfield. I'd like to have seen Woakes get a game.

Not that much of a surprise that England have gone with 2 spinners at Old Trafford but I'd have personally have preferred to have seen Woakes or even Meaker.

Nobody buying tickets for the final match of an ODI series should expect to see two full-strength sides - the rotation policy is well established now.
