I'm more thinking "if clarke hadn't somehow nicked one" tbhif theyd played wade at 5 we'd be 6-282 instead

It's been a decent knock in itself (still too slow though), but I'm not a fan at all of this tactic of starting off ridiculously slow and then relying on a massive acceleration towards the end. More times than not I don't think it will pay off, unless you're an exceptional player like Mussey or Dhoni.Still not sure how to rate Bailey's innings. Was too slow for way too long but he's stuck out there and anchored the innings + accelerated.
I don't think he intended to hit everything to midwicket early on tbf. It's been a decent knock in itself (still too slow though), but I'm not a fan at all of this tactic of starting off ridiculously slow and then relying on a massive acceleration towards the end. Just a case of old fashioned Gambhiring.**** me, if you think this is **** you haven't watched us play ODIs enough.
"Workmanlike" or "slightly below par" would be the way I'd go.
Na it's more than just an inability to find the gaps, it's a definite game plan too. I haven't seen much of Bailey though so I don't know if it's something he does regularly, but Forrest is definately another one who favours that approach.I don't think he intended to hit everything to midwicket early on tbf.
