I'm still disturbed that Gillespie now has a 201*.

I know he can bat before he made that knock but if Gillespie can make a double ton then surely we must back Pickup to make a career best knock - I don't mean a 50 or 100, I mean 28? :p
Was my earth-shattering 17 last July not good enough for you?

well the ODI's coming up, i would say rest Lee for all but no, he could play in the 1st one at least. Also why call up Dorey when Dizzy is already there, a nit stupid to me.Here is my 1st ODI team:

Katich
Gilchrist
Ponting
Symonds
Cosgrove
Clarke
Hussey
Hogg
Lee
Bracken
Johnson
I'd prefer:

Gilchrist
Katich
Ponting
Clarke
Symonds
Hussey
Hogg
Lee
Dorey
Cullen
Bracken

Enough batting, 5 specialist bowlers, 2 spinners and as for Dorey, I know alot of people have judged him on his, well, abysmal VB series performances but just give him a chance, he's been awesome in domestic and I think he'll step up here.

I reckon that's one too many bowlers, Nick. I'd leave Dorey out and let Symonds and Clarke bowl ten.

yep i reakon Cosgrove should play. not the worst bowler going round either - though Symonds and Clarke will probab ly both be fairly keen to roll thier respective arms over.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Cosgrove. I have to say though, watching him bowl is quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen in cricket, just the kind of hurried waddle he has as he bowls

Bangladesh side confirmed:

1 Shahriar Nafees
2 Rajin Saleh
3 Habibul Bashar (c)
4 Mohammad Ashraful
5 Aftab Ahmed
6 Alok Kapali
7 Khaled Mashud (w)
8 Mohammad Rafique
9 Mashrafe Mortaza
10 Syed Rasel
11 Abdur Razzak

Looks like a turner...

What is Syed Rasel like? I've been looking forward to seeing him.

Nothing wrong with the side, though surely there's someone better than Abdur Razzak? He looked terribly ordinary in the test he played, and it's not as though he can bat or field to earn his place in the ODI team.

Manjural Islam Rana has been given enough opportunities, and has produced indifferent results. Enamul Haque is worth a go, but is possibly a little erratic for ODI cricket, and as you say, can't bat or field. Other options are Jamaluddin Ahmed (consistant domestic performer with bat and ball, off spinner) and Nadif Chowdhury (another SLA, bats a bit, top of English county second XI averages last year). Saqibul Hasan is, pound-for-pound, the best option, but he's a special talent and needs more exposure to A team and domestic cricket before we try him out.

Great oppotunity for Bangladesh coming up. ODI cricket is different to test cricket. It's like winning two sessions, one with the ball and one with the bat. Your not tested like you are in test cricket. Do I honestly think they'll win? No. The Aussies wont let lightning strike twice... but there's hope and I would be marvellous for Bangladesh cricket.

Sort Like Pathan but Bowls about 5-6 mph less than Pathan. Really good with the new ball Can Swing it both ways. Gave Sri Lanka and Kenya real problems. Sometimes he bowls just 1 spell of 10 overs in ODI. But I think he's better than Mortaza in the Slog overs.
